  • West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955 has been amended and a new fee structure for Land Conversion has been introduced by the State Government. Shri Debasish Dutta, President of Bengal National Chamber of Commerce & Industry has welcomed the notification. His valued opinion has been published by the Times of India on 13th July 2023.

  • On 27.06.2023, BNCCI organised an Interactive Session on the prospects to improve the Port system where the Chairman of Kolkata SP Mukherjee Port , Shri Rathendra Raman claimed that several initiatives have already been taken to emphasize the modernization of Kolkata Port. The major part of the cargo operations will be handled mechanically. To make Kolkata Port the first point of contact again a number of projects are lined up.
